We also chatted about my own thoughts on self-development, including the "secret" to true happiness.

(Hint: Every thought is limiting you right now!)

I had a riot, and loved every moment.

Interviews Galore!

Karl the interviewer has been busy :)

I've finally removed the headset - and made three fantastic new interviews live, for the Writers FM and Self Dev Radio stations.

These hot new interviews have just entered the system...

Jean Macleod - The 100-year old romance author chats about writing her 130 novels, life during the war - and the secret to longevity! - Download from Writers FM

Francine Silverman - Author of "Book Marketing from A-Z" and editor of the Book Promotion Newsletter chats with me about getting your book into the spotlight - Download from Writers FM

Steve Ryals - Ex-drug addict and alcoholic turned minister and self-help sensation, Steve Ryals talks about his book "Drunk with Wonder" - and his inner transformation - Download from Self Dev Radio

You can download each of these now using the links above.

And remember that just a couple of days ago, I also posted the interview with Joanne Harris, author of Chocolat - which you can stream live by clicking here.

Incidentally, someone recently mailed and asked how long each interview takes to actually "do."

Well, I timed it. And for every hour of audio, around ten hours go into research, preparation and editing.

Sometimes I wish I could be on the listening end ;)

Enjoy! :)

Joanne Harris Interview - Online!

I just interviewed Joanne Harris live for the Writers FM station.

If you're interested, check out the streaming version online at:

http://www.writersfm.com/writersfm/podcasts.aspx

Joanne discussed her fame with the book Chocolat, made into a $150m movie - alongside her experience of the publishing industry, her writing tricks, and the "magic of everyday life."

She was a true treat :)

The interview lasts just over an hour, as most of mine do.

Can You Help Me?

Today, I'm in search of fame.

Yes, it's that time again -- where I'm looking to replenish the bowels of Self Dev Radio and Writers FM with a whole host of new and exciting guests!

Now, in case you don't know, I am the main interviewer guy behind the two above stations -- broadcasting self-development and writing interviews, respectively.

As such, I'm currently on the look out for NEW and EXCITING GUESTS for the stations. Preferably individuals who are truly KNOWN within the industry.

For example, on Writers FM, I've interviewed the likes of Bernard Cornwell, Syd Field, and Edwina Currie. And I may just have Joanne Harris and Sue Grafton lined up.

Do YOU know any WELL-KNOWN AUTHORS that may be interested in sharing their secrets?

Elsewhere, and over on Self Dev Radio, I've spoken with wise-types such as James Arthur Ray, Fred Alan Wolf, and Hale Dwoskin.

Are YOU friends with any famous self-help gurus?

If you know someone in the public eye that just might be interested, write to me.

Send a mail to karl AT karlmoore.com, and put my name ("Karl Moore") in the subject line, to ensure it gets past the sp@m filter.

I'd be forever grateful -- and I *really* appreciate all of the help given.

Here's to a great series of fresh 2008 interviews! :)

(PS. If you'd like to listen to some of my recent interviews, check out www.karlradio.com)

Normal Service Will Resume

John Lennon said that "Life is what happens between appointments."

For me, it's what happens between blog posts.

This past week has been crazily hectic, which is why the blog has been more than a little Ghost Town. My apologies for that!

However, as a quick catch-up, I've been devilishly busy on the interview front... so here's a quick update!

Bernard Cornwell... Famed author of the Sharpe series, a guy that's sold over 20 million books, the historical novel version of J.K.Rowling... HE spoke with me on Tuesday for an hour about his writing exploits.

During the interview, Bernard chats about his very unusual method of writing, his "love" of the French, and about receiving his OBE from Prince Charles last year.

Listen to the streaming version right now by clicking here!

Plus....

James Arthur Ray... Massively successful businessman, the star of "The Secret," the guy you recently saw on Oprah and Larry King Live... He's the Manifestation Master and he wants to share his secrets with you!

During the interview, James chats about the quickest way to manifest anything in your life, the seven laws of the universe (including "duality" - one of my favourites), and what "The Secret" *doesn't* tell you!

To listen to this streaming interview, click here now!

Mike Koster wrote in just a few moments ago and called it the "best James Ray interview yet." Check it out for yourself and see what you think!

That's all for now. Normal service will now resume.

Have a great day!

James Ray, I Say!

James Ray.

He's the star of "The Secret," and the man that recently appeared on Oprah and Larry King Live.

He's a big name in the self-development and manifestation world...

And, as like all the big names, he's coming to Self Dev Radio!

So, what would YOU ask James Ray if you could?

What one single question would YOU pose to James if you had the chance?

Please mail me... karl@karlmoore.com and put "BPSF" in the subject line, alongside your question. If I can, I'll ask him during the interview next week.

Remember, I'm interviewing Bernard Cornwell on the same day... SO if you have questions for him also, send them this way! :)

Thanks for your time -- and yes, I'm aware that I haven't done the Friday Factoid yet. It'll be here tomorrow. Promise!

See you then! :p

If you're interested, stream and download your copy here:

What Would You Ask Bernard Cornwell?

He's the author of the Sharpe series.

He's earned himself an OBE. And he's written a staggering 50 best-selling historical novels.

It's BERNARD CORNWELL... And yes, he's coming to Writers FM!

So let me ask...

If you had just five minutes along with Bernard, what would you ask him?

Where did he get the idea for Sharpe? What was it like clinching a big movie deal? What surprised him most when he first started in the publishing business?

Let me know and I'll ask Bernard on your behalf! :)

Just take part in this thread at My Writers Circle:

If YOU had just FIVE MINUTES with Syd, what would you ask him?

I need your suggestions.

Everybody knows Nick Daws.

He's the friendly, successful author of over 50 best-selling books -- and the official head honcho behind My Writers Circle, and "How to Write Any Book in 28 Days Or Less!"

He was the first guy I ever interviewed online at Writers FM...

... And by popular demand, HE'S BACK!

Yesterday, I spent my afternoon chatting with Nick, where I posed a whole bundle of questions that have flown into the station following our last interview.

Want to listen?

Fred Alan Wolf Interview - LIVE!

You've witnessed his teachings in the hit docu-movies, "The Secret" and "What the Bleep".

You've seen him on the Discovery Channel. And if you've even a passing interest in science, you're sure to have read one of his dozen books on everything from time travel to parallel universes.

It's "Dr Quantum" himself... Fred Alan Wolf.

And now, on Self Dev Radio, Fred has taken time out of his busy speaking schedule to chat with me LIVE about the real world of quantum physics.

Fred Alan Wolf

Now, these days, the self-development world uses quantum physics to explain everything!

But do your thoughts REALLY create your reality?

Fred actually surprised me with his answers. I was expecting something altogether more "airy-fairy." His responses however were much more down to earth -- and it appears he DOESN'T necessarily believe in the principles behind either of the two movies he starred in.

Want to change your life?

Fred will tell you how to do it. But it might not be quite the way you think.

Click HERE to visit Self Dev Radio live -- or download the podcast version (or listen to the stream) by clicking here.

Enjoy!

I really want to know.

You can mail me direct at karl@karlmoore.com and make sure you put "Karl Moore" in the body of the message, so it gets past my spam filter.

I'll ask the best of the questions this Thursday -- and I'll post the interview later in the week.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Just a quick post today :)

I want to express my thanks to international "busker" Peter Jones for donating all of the music from his great album "Sunshine Up Ahead" for use on Self Dev Radio and Writers FM.

I absolutely fell in love with the track "Sunshine Up Ahead" and wrote to Peter over the weekend. He wrote back, sending his entire album, and granting full permission to use any of his stuff.

Wow! :O

To listen to "Sunshine Up Ahead", visit my blog homepage at www.karlblog.com and scroll down to the red music player on the right-hand side of the page. Click on "Sunshine Up Ahead" to listen. It's a great song.

PLUS....

A brand new Self Dev Radio interview is now online, with self-help author Guy Finley.

Guy has sold over a million books, hosted over 4000 self-development conferences - and he's just launched his massive new 16-CD album, "The Secrets of Being Unstoppable."

The interview is now playing live at Self Dev Radio - and you can download your copy by clicking here. Or learn more about Guy online at www.guyfinley.com.

Karl Meets Adam DreamHealer

Adam is an ordinary 20-year old Canadian lad. With one exception.

It's claimed he has helped heal thousands of people across the globe.

Many of you reading this blog will have heard of Adam DreamHealer. You can visit his official website online at www.dreamhealer.com.

I'll be honest: I hadn't heard of this guy until one great reader, Jeff Lake, sent me the details.

I can only describe Adam as a story-in-progress: Only just out of his teenage years, this young man has already written three books, released his own DVD, is attending university, and regularly runs packed-out healing workshops to 800 people at a time.

"He must be a real healer then! There's got to be something in it, right?"

Well, that's exactly what I wanted to find out - during my hour-long interview with Adam on Thursday last.

The whole interview has just been made live - and is now playing at Self Dev Radio.

The interview took a few interesting turns. If you're interested, you can tune in to the station at www.selfdevradio.com to listen, or download the podcast version by clicking here.

Enjoy, I'm sure you'll find it enlightening. And good luck with your own healing! :)

* * *

PS. Here's the e-mail that inspired me to connect with Adam in the first place. It's just as inspiring! ....

Hello Karl. Jeff Lake here. I had initially contact you several weeks ago after sending you an e-mail sharing my genuine heart-felt sentiment with you simply expressed as "I love you Karl. Thanks for being You"

Well, my friend I truly meant what I said. I've been so grateful to have had the pleasure of connecting with you. I was originally trying to think about where I first learned about you and last night it struck me. I had received an e-mail from a Neil Waterhouse. Within the content of his e-mail he posed the question "Have you heard of Karl Moore?", with a direct link to your site.

The rest is history.

I've been enjoying "You" ever since. I cannot even begin to find the words to express the lofty inspirational thoughts and feelings you have sparked within me. I can honestly attest to the fact that I have never known another human being that I have been so deeply moved or effected by.

You represent and embody the person I have always held as my highest ideal of what a real genuine human being should be like. You are a source of true inspiration and I thank the Universe for your existence and life on this planet. The world would be such a nicer place if there were more people like you here.

My heart goes out to you in this challenging time. I am quite certain that Billy will receive the healing he requires. You are surrounded by so many people that love and care about you and have your best interests at heart. I just know he will experience a complete and total healing. There are so many individuals (and powerful ones at that) directing their love and healing intent towards him, that he can't help but make a full recovery.....right!!! Keep the faith Karl. He'll be bouncing, barking, playing and romping around in no time.

I myself am doing my own small part. He is held in my mind as being healthy, and so he is.

I wanted to share some information with you although I suspect you're probably already in the know. Have you heard of the remote healer known as Adam? He is a young boy of 19 living in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is renowned for healing the country western singer Ronnie Hawkins of pancreatic cancer a few years ago, and has authored and published a couple books. His web site is
www.dreamhealer.com

Well Karl, I will continue to remain connected with you on a Soul level. I do love you. You're a wonderful human being and you deserve every happiness in life. Stay ever hopeful and take comfort in knowing that the essence of your Being radiates, exemplifies and embodies Universal Love. As the saying goes....."You have to Be the dream and the change you want to see in the world" and my friend, you epitomize the very essence of that statement as living proof.

Thank you for shining your light into the world and being a beacon of hope and inspiration for others. Cheers.

Namaste Gnosis - Jeff Lake

Karl Interviews Randy

With seven best-selling books to his name, Randy Ingermanson is one of the biggest names in the world of suspense and Christian fiction.

He describes himself as a physicist, novelist, speaker and "all-round troublemaker".

And today at Writers FM, I spoke with Randy and discovered some of his secrets.

During our interview, we discussed his Advanced Fiction Writing site, how he uses his infamous Snowflake Method to make fiction writing easier, and his scientific views on whether time travel is really possible.

It was a fascinating interview -- and, as ever, we overran.

If you're interested, you can download the podcast version online, or tune in to Writers FM to catch it being broadcast.

Enjoy - and smile! :D

Larry King & Positive Thinking

Living in the UK, I don't get much chance to watch CNN...

However a couple of my readers have written about last night's guests on Larry King Live, during a two-part show entitled "The Power of Positive Thinking."

"Positive Thinking?"

Does anyone do that anymore?

Yes, it helps to think positive. But not to battle with the reality of the moment. So I think the show title is a little dated... but that another point entirely.

By all accounts, the show seemed interesting, at least according to the transcript, which you can read online at http://edition.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0611/16/lkl.01.html

Now Dr Joe Vitale was one of Larry's special guests... and this post is just to remind listeners to Self Dev Radio that you can download my interview with Joe online by visiting the podcasts page.

The interview received some interesting feedback, and Joe's thoughts certainly don't agree with everyone (Mike, Kurt!). But it's worth a listen, for sure.

The show also mentioned the movie "The Secret".

It's a good movie. You'll find a number of speakers from the movie in our Self Dev Radio podcast archives too, such as Hale Dwoskin.

So if you get a few minutes free, download and have a listen.

Or just tune in randomly to Self Dev Radio by visiting www.selfdevradio.com.

It's totally FREE of charge. There are absolutely NO ads.

And if you don't like it, you get your money back.

Matthew Hopkins, Music and My Writers Circle!

As many of you may know, I'm the man responsible for the My Writers Circle site.

And it was through this great little community that I bumped into Carrie Sheppard, a fantastic folk singer from Hertfordshire.

I've spent much of the past couple of days listening to the three songs she showcases on her MySpace page, especially "Scared" and "The Witchfinder General".

I never knew who Matthew Hopkins was before listening to this piece. A well-reputed British witch hunter! If you didn't bleed when he cut your skin, you were surely in league with Satan -- and banished to death.

Carrie really captures this fantastically in "The Witchfinder General"!

But best of all, Carrie has agreed to have her songs played during my interviews at Writers FM and Self Dev Radio.

We usually play smooth upbeat jazz on each of the stations, my personal favourite music style. Yes, we've featured vocal music (such as Artist X during the Hale Dwoskin and Edwina Currie interviews) -- but not much.

But that's all about to change, as Carrie sends us her CDs later this week -- and tells us to go wild. Can't wait!

Thank you, Carrie! :)

Edwina Currie Interview

Well, as you guessed on the My Writers Circle thread, my mystery guest at Writers FM this week was....

The great Edwina Currie!

She's a woman that has attracted a fair amount of controversy in her time.

Yes, she's feisty. Yes, she's opinionated. But there's no denying that she's an incredibly intelligent lady -- with a whole bundle of stories to tell.

And tell them she did, during our "chat"... which ran over to almost one and a half hours! (Not quite the 40 minutes I'd originally expected!)

During the Writers FM interview, Edwina talked about her affair with former UK PM John Major, her legal mix-up with a leg model, "bum sores", the "big fat John McCririck", Hell's Kitchen -- and more.

Interested?

The interview has just been released and will be played for the first time tomorrow at Writers FM. You can however download a podcast preview right now, by clicking here.

Enjoy -- and thanks for supporting the station!

Big News -- Tomorrow!

I've got some big news for fans of the Writers FM radio station.

Tommorrow, I'm interviewing our highest profile guest so far!

If you live in the UK, you WILL know this person. They've hit the headlines MANY times over the past twenty years -- and published more books than most people have read.

I'm incredibly excited -- and perhaps ever-so-slightly nervous too, as this person has way more broadcasting experience than lil' ol' me.

So who IS this mysterious person?

Stay tuned. The interview will take place tomorrow... and should be live at Writers FM first thing Saturday morning.

Get ready!

(PS. Think you know who I'm talking about? Visit http://www.mywriterscircle.com/index.php?topic=5595.0 and make your guess official!)
