Mind, Body, Spirit in Harmony
We wake up each day, often blissfully unaware that we are evolving.
Physically, our bodily functions are constantly changing and adapting to maintain survival and optimum performance. Our brain cells are constantly being stimulated by new experiences and adapt as a result of those experiences. Our vital energy constantly fluctuates and is the perfect barometer of our mental and spiritual state.
Quite simply, we are pretty amazing
Although we possess a body - this incredible vehicle for the soul - it needs a little help to ensure optimum health and well-being.
Exercise, good food, adequate rest and care all contribute to maintaining equilibrium but your thoughts and feelings also have a major impact on the quality of your life.
When things aren't going too well in life, your body will reflect your thoughts and feelings.
Notice how you feel when you're angry or anxious.
Your heart-rate will increase along with your blood pressure. You will feel tense and perhaps have a headache. You may have a stomach ache or a bad back.
Similarly, notice how you feel when you're happy or sad. Your body will respond accordingly. Sadness makes you feel weary, heavy, cold and weak. Happiness makes you feel vital, light, warm and strong.
Although affected by environment and hereditary issues, the overall health of our mind, body and spirit is primarily affected by our own thoughts and feelings. If you have unresolved emotions, such as anger, resentment, fear and so on, over time your body will start to suffer.
To achieve greater health and harmony, reflect on your thoughts and feelings right now.
Let go of the emotional states that are no longer serving you.
Remember, you always have a choice about how you wish to think and feel.
What's more, the choices you make could be significant to your overall health and well-being now and in the future.
So, choose to be positive and happy.
Aim to harmonise mind, body and spirit.
Feel the benefits!

This is exactly why I meditate and chant mantras when I wake up, and also that all important yoga spinal set. Of course, this is after I thank God for all he has done for me, my family, and the lessons in life he has taught, good and bad.
