Never Put Off to Tomorrow
Today, I really did NOT want to work.
I had three hours sleep last night and had a pile of "those jobs" to do which I don't particularly like doing.
Still, I just pushed through and completed all those tasks. Now they're done and I'm free to enjoy the rest of my day.
I could have taken another option ... I could have pushed the work aside and left it all until tomorrow.
But for a little procrastination, I would have had the worry and angst of not completing the day's jobs. What's more, those jobs would still be there to do the next day.
When things aren't going right or you're faced with a task that you'd rather not do, it seems easier to hide or put off the inevitable than face the problems.
Taking timely action, however, can bring about a successful and speedy resolution.
You just do what you have to do ... remedy any problems, complete those loathsome tasks ... then your mind is free.
So, if you have any niggling, outstanding issues or tasks that really need your attention, commit to resolving them today.
You'll feel so much better when you have taken action.
Remember the old English proverb ...
'Never put off to tomorrow what you can do today.'
Procrastination really is the thief of time ... your time ... those vital moments of your life that pass and never return.
So, do what you need to do...
And enjoy feeling the satisfaction of checking off another chore.

Awesome, Karl!! Such a timely post for me. I've some things I've been putting off recently and was gearing myself up to do them today. Your post just was the nice kick in the butt to remind me of the price I pay when I procrastinate, which I have been guilty of all my life and which I'm also working on. Thanks!

Welcome home, Karl! To be honest, I think you'd be perfectly entitled to a bit of procrastination after your recent adventures in Thailand!
