A Journey of 1000 Miles
We've all heard that popular saying...
"A journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step."
Well, it's actually a slight mistranslation.
A more accurate translation of this quotation from Chinese philosopher, Lao-Tzu, would be:
"Even the longest journey must begin from where you stand."
Rather than emphasizing that first step, Lau Tzu regarded action as something that naturally arose from stillness.
When was the last time YOU were truly still?
When did you last give yourself even FIVE MINUTES to allow your mind to relax?
And what ideas popped into your mind?
What action can naturally arise from YOUR stillness?
Why not give yourself time today - and explore for yourself?

I rather enjoyed this entry, as I myself meditate ever day, and make it a point to be still, and also to live in the present moment.

i start reading this blog more often. It means that i am getting like it even i do not know who Karl Moore is. Sorry about it if you are a famous in your country or somewhere in this world.
When I worked in a pressure environment with high responsibility, some of my mistakes that i made toward other people came up to my mind and rethink about it. And I always felt uncomfortable.
Now I ignore pressure environment and back to a normal life, spend more time and enjoy with good friends, and families. Only the positive thinking pop up to my mind and smile is shown on my face.
Give time for your family and good friends and friends who living in the same planet. It makes your life happier. Money make you survive but friendship and love make you delighted.

ah! this quote is undoubtedly the origin of the infamous Irish joke (a joke from Ireland, not the other kind). The one where the foreign couple are touring Ireland and are lost. They find a man sitting on a wall and ask him how to get to their destination village, and he replies;
''well now, if it was me, I wouldn't start from here.''
